Alternatively, you can lay the rug out in a sunny room, as the heat will further help loosen the backing.

Polypropylene rugs are super easy to clean. For spills, you should first remove any excess material and then blot the stain with a clean cloth dampened with lukewarm water. It's important to never rub the stain, as this will move it deeper into the fiber and make it harder to remove. Repeat this process with a solution of lukewarm water and dish detergent. Finally, blot with water and a clean white cloth to finish the cleaning process.
